A QUOTE AND ITS APPLICATION

I read this out of a book I am reading today and thought it was worth sharing.
"I saw more clearly than ever, that the first great and primary business to which I ought to attend every day was, to have my soul happy in the Lord. The first thing to be concerned about was not, how much I might serve the Lord, how I might glorify the Lord; but how I might get my soul into a happy state, and how my inner man may be nourished....I saw that the most important thing I had to do was to give myself to the reading of the Word of God and to meditation on it." - George Muller
Let us all begin our days in the Word of God, seeking not to just read it but to meditate on it for the purpose of soul nourishment. Let us all seek to find happiness and joy in the Lord as we begin each day.

How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! - Psalm 119:103

  1. I've come across that quote a number of times, too, when reading different things. Great to be reminded of it as it is so true.

  2. That's a great quote. The best days for me are the ones that I spend pouring over Scriptures in the morning, before my mind is totally flooded by the day's work. Good reminder.
